Welcome to a brand-new addition to the Sandra-Miller.com website; the Best of the Web Award program.  Surfing the web is enjoyable, but much more so when you have first-rate sites to visit that are related to your interests.  The Sandra-Miller.com Best of the Web Award is a way to recognize these sites.

If you have a site that is writing-related, submit it for the award!  The Best of the Web award goes to the highest quality sites submitted.  What do I mean by highest-quality?  It's a combination of things.  Your site needs to load in a reasonable amount of time.  You must feature some of your writing, or resources for writers, or something that fosters creativity and (you guessed it) writing.  Try to make sure your site doesn't have grammatical or spelling errors.  Graphics-intensive design is not necessary--I much prefer good content to good showmanship.  To read the complete award criteria, click here.  I strongly encourage you to review the criteria before applying.

So what does the Best of the Web award get you?

Well, first of all it gets your site listed on this "Best of the Web" page. When we get enough sites in the program, they will have their own "Best of the Web" page.

You also get a handsome award to display on your site. Undoubtedly you have seen web awards on other sites; maybe even your own. Here's one you can proudly call your very own!

To submit your site to the program, see below!

The Best of the Web

Only That I Go....  the poetry and creative works of Lindseye Greye.  Very nice work, beautiful poetry.

Writer at Large!    the website of Tracey Rosenblath, technical and creative writer.  Check out her writing samples--both types--and lose once and for all the idea that technical writers can't be creative!

Windows Poetry  the beautiful poetry and soothing website of Kari Fennell.  Lovely site.

Arrow of the Gods  the website of Van Middleton, author of the high fantasy novel Arrow of the Gods.  Great excerpts, beautiful site.

Oyster Moon  the soothing and inspirational website of Paulette Weaver, featuring poetry and essays.  Beautiful, tranquil design!
